Isabella and "pupcakes"

Every time I hear Isabella call me mommy my heart warms, now she calls me either "mom" or something that sounds like "mae", she is such a precious little thing. So stubborn and so picky and set in her ways but just precious.  I secretly love it that she wants to come and cuddle with me in the bed, she is doing better and now I usually only have to take her back once and some days she doesn't come at all till 5:00 or 6:00, I have to train her especially with another one on the way, however for now I actually look forward to hearing those little footsteps and then her getting in bed and curling up beside me, she has recently stopped moving so much which is a real plus.   She has started "helping" me do things like match the socks from the laundry and put things in and out of the machine,  and she loves to be useful and tells me "I'm so busy right now",  the other day I was down in the basement printing something while Cami was sleeping upstairs, I thought it would take a second but as so often happens things weren't working so I wanted to get the monitor so I could hear if she woke up, I asked Isabella to get me the monitor, she asked me what it was and I told her "its the little one on mommy's night stand that has a camera on it", "Oh I know which one that is, just wait I will get it" she brings me this,

Just look at that face, I had my camera on by chance, she is so proud of herself I couldn't bring myself to tell her it was the wrong one:).

She loves to make or better said eat cupcakes, most kids do she calls them pupcakes. The most common ones I make are carrot ones just because they are easy and at least I'm giving her some carrots as well. I'll put the recipe here, its a very simple cake and has always come out good, I have made it entirely with almond flour and it comes out great but I found she doesn't like them as much so now I make half whole wheat organic flour and half almond flour.  I also use maple syrup instead of sugar, the original recipe calls for 1 cup of sugar which I think is a bit too much so I put less and it comes out fine, I also use olive oil or coconut oil because I don't have vegetable oil in my house, I found the olive oil to be a better alternative in this cake rather than the coconut oil.
Original recipe:
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups grated carrots (not packed cups)
1/2 cup oil
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Modified recipe:
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup almond flour
3/4 cup  maple syrup
1/3 cup olive oil  (I put less oil because of the almond flour)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
No nuts because Isabella wants me to take them out so I just omitted them.  This recipe makes 1 loaf pan or about 9 cupcakes. when I make the cupcakes they cook pretty fast about 20 min at 350 F.

She has an idea of how things should be and gets completely out of sorts when things don't work out just the way she thinks they should. I made the cupcakes with her and then she sat down to eat them and wanted them cut into fourths so you can imagine I have Cami wiggling away in one arm and I cut them and one of the fourths was not the size she expected and she freaked out "its not the same, no no no no" in the end she left the table and didn't eat them, she is like that about so many things, I feel sorry for her, my poor child she will have a long hard road ahead learning  that rarely do things turn out the way you think they will.
She is very caring of her sister and now asks me if I can take her down so she can play with her,  this is of course when she is not body blocking her from touching her toys, I can't wait to see how she will be with her new brother or sister.
